This week we completed our first novel of the year, Out Of My Mind by Sharon Draper. Today, we had a special guest come in who became blind at the age of 25. She told us her story, how she had to learn to adapt to being blind, and even showed us ways we could assist those who have disabilities. We even got to learn braille! Ask you child about what they learned from our novel and our special guest speaker.
